The much-anticipated Maxwell Sports Week kicked off yesterday with a colorful opening ceremony at the university’s sports complex. The inter-faculty competition features football, basketball, athletics, and volleyball, drawing large crowds of enthusiastic students. The Faculty of Social Sciences stole the show on Day 1, winning both the male and female 100-meter sprints.

Dean of Students, Mrs. Britnny Ford, emphasized the importance of fitness and teamwork, urging students to use the week not just for fun but for building healthy habits. A special celebrity football match is also scheduled for Saturday, featuring popular alumni athletes and guest celebrities. The event runs through September 8th, and promises a thrilling experience for participants and spectators alike.
